TAKE A PICTURE OF YOUR BALLOT

Verify Vote (vvote.org) encourages voters in Utah to take a picture of their completed ballot as a personal receipt once it has been submitted to the state. This image serves as a safeguard in case of an election challenge or audit. Voters will not submit the image right away but should keep it on their phones until an official auditing process or legal challenge begins.

Once required, the system allows users to upload the ballot images for verification. The technology checks the image’s timestamp, metadata, and ensures the photo matches the conditions at the time of voting. Though the physical ballot is already with the state, this verified image provides an additional layer of accountability during election audits, ensuring that the results can be trusted and are transparent.

Our effort is to prove the efficacy of our voting system, either in its perfection or in its flaws. All Utahans should seek to support this effort so we can finally end the debate regarding our voting systems.
